While on its face, the Global Neurodiversity Alliance will function as a directory for Neurodivergent people and their families to find Neuro-Affirming providers, therapies, services, and businesses, it is so much more.

It will be an educational resource for families, providing guidance on the essential questions that they should ask to ensure they feel confident about the support and services they are investing in.

It will also be a collective resource to support providers and businesses to continue to make their practices more neuro-affirming and collaborative within the community.

It will serve to increase awareness and acceptance of Neurodiversity worldwide.

Plus, it is a phenomenal resource for confidently knowing you are referring your clients to businesses that have been vetted to our standards!

Our Vetting Process has 3+ Phases to ensure we thoroughly verify that providers and businesses in the Global Neurodiversity Alliance are up to the standard of Neuro-Affirming care we require.

Phase One:

You will complete our Questionnaire that will help us to get a glimpse into your business or practice. 

Phase Two: 

If your responses meet our Quality Assurance standards, you will receive an invitation to an interview. This interview will be conducted by a Neurodivergent interviewer who will delve deeper into your philosophies, background, and business to assess your suitability as a candidate for GNA.

Phase Three:

Qualified candidates will then have a thorough review done of their online presence to confirm they are Neuro-Affirming and in alignment with the Alliance.

Candidates who successfully complete all Three Phases will have their answers from their interviews and questionnaires used to create their profiles in the GNA directory. 

In addition to our 3-Phase vetting process, Neurodivergent People who have done the work to recognize internalized ableism, and want better for their community and the world, will be a part of the vetting panel. 

We also review and audit social media, websites, and online presences to be sure that allies are and continue to be neuro-affirming.

Dr. Gwen Palafox is a Clinical Psychologist who has had the privilege of supporting Neurodivergents and their families for over two decades. 

She has spoken at a TEDx event and conducted nationwide trainings aimed at promoting empowerment and agency. During the pandemic, she launched her YouTube channel, Dr. Gwen Empowered, to address the marginalization of Neurodivergents left without support and care by providing curated and high-quality information for free to the public. Additionally, she co-hosts The Neuromarvels podcast with an Autistic Psychologist, which aims to increase awareness and the acceptance of Neurodiversity.

 Her passion for creating a world that makes space for and embraces Neurodivergent people has led her to create the Global Neurodiversity Alliance.
